Recently, in March 2021, Mountain Dew, debuted a new energy drink. Their goal is for it to replace your morning coffee. And it was a cute sounding name – RISE. The official name is Mtn Dew Rise – very catch you have to admit! And LeBron James is the spokesperson. So we definitely think this product will be very successful!
PepsiCo, the company behind Mountain Dew, realized that only about 20 Million people have energy drinks in the am and so this product is specifically designed to entice you to drink it in the AM and “rise” instead of with your regular coffee. Very clever marketing.
Also, insider scoop – soda sales have been down for many years while sales of “energy drinks” have been rising. So it totally makes sense for PepsiCo to try to go after a popular market drink in this way. If the drink is successful, it will compete with Red Bull, Monster Energy, Bang Energy, and all of the other energy drinks.

Mtn Dew Rise Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What is the caffeine content of Mtn Dew Rise?
Each can contains 180mg of caffeine, which is equivalent to approximately 2 cups of coffee.
What is the Mtn Dew Rise logo?
It is an abstraction of a lion. And in the animated commercial it also morphs into LeBron James face too. It is a very smart design idea! The abstract design makes it stand out and gives it some more “street cred” compared to other drinks. The design team was focused on a cool looking can design and it even has a matte finish, giving it a more expensive look and feel.
