#1 M&M’s
Hands down, M&M’s are the most popular candy. In fact, they are so popular that they have their exclusive merchandise and retail stores dedicated just for them.
The original peanut M&M’s remain a favorite amongst children and adults.
The candy came into existence in the US in 1941 and is sold in more than a hundred countries now.
#2 Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
The second on our list is the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. The candy has a peanut butter filling inside and a chocolate coating outside.
The candy came into existence for the first time in 1928. To this date, it remains one of the top candies amongst Americans, especially during Halloween.
#3 Hershey’s
From retail stores to e-commerce websites, you find Hershey’s candies everywhere. The most popular flavor out of the lot is Cookies & Crème.
You can find Hershey’s candies in the form of kisses and bars. You can choose many flavors, such as Cherry Cheesecake, Coconut Almond, to name a few.
#4 Snickers
Sold by Mars Incorporated, Snickers bar is the perfect bar to get rid of small hunger pangs. The crunchy peanut and caramel filling inside and the chocolate coating outside together form this delicious candy bar.
Did you know? Snickers is named after a horse and came into existence for the first time in 1930.

Globally, Kit Kat is a product of Nestle, but in the United States, it is handled by H.B. Reese Candy Company. Nevertheless, this doesn’t change the fact that Kit Kat is one of the popular candy bars across the US.
Curated in September 1935, the original four-fingered crunchy bar still remains one of the favorite candies.
#6 Twix
Twix is produced by Mars Inc. Biscuit core, caramel mantle, and chocolaty crust together form these twin bars.
Originally from the UK, it came into the US for the first time in 1979. Different variations have come into existence since then. Still, the original twin bars in a single packet remains the best-seller.
#7 Twizzlers
A product of Y&S Candies, Twizzlers are licorice-type candies. It is a thin wire-like chewy candy and comes in various flavors like watermelon, cherry, grape, to name a few. The most favorite flavor amongst the masses is strawberry.
Twizzlers first came into existence in 1929 and have been popular since then.

#9 Dove Bar
Manufactured and owned by Mars, dove bars are known as “Galaxy bars” in UK, India, Ireland, and the Middle East. It is smooth and creamy, and it melts in your mouth.
Originally, the candy was introduced by Leo Stefanos in 1939. Later in 1986, Mars Inc. acquired it.

#10 3 Musketeers
Another candy owned by Mars Inc., 3 Musketeers, is a chocolate-covered bar with a whipped and fluffy mousse filling. It was curated in 1932.
The original candy had 3 bars of different flavors in a single package – strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate, hence the name. However, over time, strawberry and vanilla flavors phased out, leaving just the chocolate behind.
