History of the Zoa Energy Drink

Zoa energy drink was announced in January 2021 by Dwayne Johnson, more commonly known by his WWE wrestling moniker, The Rock, on his social media. Dwayne shared a video clip introducing the energy drink and labeled it healthy and the first of its kind.

Dwayne Johnson, who we all know and love, is a ten-time wrestling champion, a Hollywood legend, and above all, an entrepreneur who has his own tequila company, shares in a water brand, and ice cream collaborations. Johnson is also the co-founder of Zoa energy drink and is the Chief Energy Engineer of the brand who was in charge of perfecting the recipe of the drink.

Dany Garcia, who’s a visionary businesswoman, professional female bodybuilder, and first-female owner of a major sports league, serves as the Chief Visionary Officer of the Zoa brand. The role of Chief Health Officer is fulfilled by Dave Rienzi who is renowned as the strength coach of some of the most elite athletes and bodybuilders.

Finally, John Shulman, the founder of Juggernaut Capital Partners, serves as the Chief Positivity Officer and is in charge of promoting the brand and making sure it is on shelves near you.

The Taste of Zoa Energy Drink

The Zoa energy drink has a lineup comprising five different flavors and each flavor in the selection has just enough taste to justify its moniker. However, the flavor is much subtler and falls short of the depth and umph offered by other energy drinks on the market. The drink gives you a quick rush of sweetness that doesn’t last very long.

The flavor of the ZOA Energy drink is short-lived and is followed by a synthetic medicinal aftertaste. It isn’t unpleasant by any means, but it does seem out of character considering the flavor options and definitely throws you off.

The Pineapple Coconut ZOA Energy drink is the only flavor that doesn’t have this unexpected aftertaste; it tastes really creamy and coconutty and doesn’t have any of the other drinks’ medical undertones.

All in all, the ZOA Energy drink gives you a punch of sweetness that is enjoyable for a short while before gradually changing into that sour, chemical-like aftertaste.

It doesn’t have the full flavor that many of the best-tasting energy drinks do, which make you want to keep drinking because the flavor is powerful and consistent from sip to swallow. However, since Zoa energy is a more health focused drink, this lack of flavor is understandable.

Flavors of the Zoa Energy Drink

The Zoa energy drink comes in five different flavors, each of which boasts 160mg of caffeine. The flavors are as follows:

  • Original
  • Wild Orange
  • Super Berry
  • Lemon Lime
  • Pineapple Coconut

How Effective is the Zoa Energy Drink

Most typical energy drinks have caffeine levels that range between 85mg to 150mg. Since Zoa energy drinks pack a stunning 160mg caffeine composition, they grant you an almost instant punch of energy and help you rapidly regain your energy levels after a tiring workout routine or any other strenuous activity.

The drink also contains Acerola Cherries and Camu-Camu Berries, which supply your daily need of Vitamin C and antioxidants, thereby boosting your immune system. They also contain electrolytes to keep you hydrated, branched-chain amino acids to aid with muscle building, and choline to keep you focused and speed up metabolism.

B1, B2, B6, and B12 vitamins are also present. Moreover, the caffeine used in the drinks is derived from natural sources, from unroasted green coffee beans and green tea to be specific. This makes the Zoa energy drink not only a great energy booster, but an overall healthy improving drink that offers you an enhanced immune system, metabolism, and focus, in addition to higher energy levels.
