In 1942, a Mexican man named Jesus Michel Gonzalez started making hand-made candy at his home with his family. From that moment on, the company grew and was officially known as De la Rosa. De la Rosa is known for making innovative candy formulas to share their love of sweets with their customers.
Sir Jesus Michel learned formula-making while he was working in a pharmaceutical company. Later on, he concocted the first peanut marzipan formula known as “Conitas”, which rapidly became popular. There are a lot of competitors who followed in his footsteps and started making peanut marzipan.
The candy’s popularity grew and people started calling it Marzipan de la Rosa, as its packaging had a flower logo printed on it. Today, it is called De la Rosa Mazapan and is among the most popular Mexican treats in the world. The company, Dulces de la Rosa, is known for making innovative candies by using leading-edge infrastructure and offering unique flavorful experiences.
