Scandinavian Swimmers are a product of Trader Joe’s – they come in a regular variety and a super sour version. They are vegan, kosher, and gluten-free and tart with with natural fruit flavors. The sour version is coating with sour sugar.
On the other hand, these Super Sour Scandinavian Swimmers come in green packaging, a color often associated with sour treats. After tasting the tart candy, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that the tangy version is an upgrade from its predecessor!
What Do They Taste Like?
Super Sour Scandinavian Swimmers are fruit jellies coated in sour dust. The initial taste is zesty but soon becomes delightfully sweet. While the name suggests that the candy would be “super sour,” it’s not!
The flavors are actually quite yummy. Super Sour Scandinavian Swimmers come in four flavors represented by unique sea creature-shaped gummies. One pack has an assortment of all flavors. Trader Joe’s uses natural colors for the candy, which gives it a genuine taste. Additionally, you cannot preserve the candies for years. If left out in the open, these sour Scandinavian Swimmers harden up and become difficult to chew.
Interestingly, kids aren’t the only ones to get fascinated by the Scandinavian Swimmers! Super Sour Scandinavian Swimmers is a refreshing treat for the fans of Scandinavian candy.
