Tim Hortons is a global restaurant change based in Toronto. However, there are restaurants in Canada, America, The UK, and even the Middle East. The restaurant is most known as a Coffee and Donuts shop, but they also serve other items. For example, they have a breakfast menu, a sandwich menu. In addition, they have other snack and dessert options such as bagels, croissants, cookies, muffins, cake, and cheesecake.
The name of the restaurant comes from one of the founders, Tim Horton. Tim Horton is a famous hockey player. He played for multiple teams in the NHL, although he spent most of his time with the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he helped the club win 4 Stanley Cups. Horton also played for the New York Rangers, The Pittsburgh Penguins, and The Buffalo Sabres. He was a Sabre when he died, traveling from a game in Toronto back to Buffalo. Unfortunately, he lost control of his sports car and perished on February 21, 1974.
In 1977 Horton was posthumously entered into the Hockey Hall of Fame. In 1982 the Buffalo Sabres posthumously inducted him into the Buffalo Sabres Hall of Fame. In 1996, The Buffalo Sabres retired his number. Horton played with the #2 in Buffalo, and no other Sabre will ever wear that number again. In 2017, the Toronto Maple Leafs retired the number 7, the jersey number worn by Horton during his time as a Maple Leaf.
Years after his death, hockey fans flock to the restaurant bearing his name for food and snacks every day. However, many hard-core Hockey fans or Tim Horton restaurant lovers do not know about the secret items you can get at their favorite dessert and coffee shop. So keep on reading to find secret menu items for your next trip to Tim Horton’s.
