Fritos chips are created by deep frying cornmeal so they have a delicious flavor and texture, and then chili spice is added. History of Fritos Chili Cheese
Fritos is a leading American snack food brand that makes some of the most delicious dipping sauces and corn chips. Charles Elmer Doolin founded the brand in 1932. He wanted to introduce a salty snack to the masses.
Charles Elmer found the recipe for corn chips in an ad on the San Antonio Express. He bought the recipe and started producing the deep-fried chips at his home along with his mother, father, and brother. They were the original four founders of the company (then called Frito Corporation).
More than fifty manufacturing units were established by the end of 1955. The Frito Company had an exclusive restaurant at Disneyland. They were one of the first investors in the theme park during its inception in 1955.
The Frito Company became Frito-Lay in 1961 after a merger with H.W. Lay and Company.
Pepsi-Cola Company and Frito-Lay merged in 1965 to form PepsiCo.
The corn chips come in a wide variety of flavors. The Fritos Chili Cheese came into existence in the 1960s.
