Popeyes is an American fast food restaurant that focuses on delicious fried chicken. Popeyes was founded in 1972 in New Orleans, Louisiana. It is currently a subsidiary of Restaurant Brands International, a Toronto based company.

Popeyes is one of the largest fast food chicken restaurants in the United state, second only to KFC.

We have to be honest, the Popeyes secret menu items are less exciting than many other secret menus like the In-N-Out Secret Menu – which have a lot more secrets and options. Most of these are flavor “hacks” – but if you are a Popeyes fan you will still love them. And they will allow you to experience new variety from the existing menu.

Naked Chicken

If you are at Popeyes and want a healthier option, just ask for it “naked.”

You might be embarrassed saying this but it lets then know that you want your chicken without breading.

So, this is one of the easiest ways to cut your carbs, sodium and calories.

Blackened Ranch Chicken Sandwich

You love Popeyes legendary chicken sandwich and want to make it better? Here’s a good option – turn ordinary into a blackened ranch chicken sandwich.

To order: order the blackened ranch sauce. When you sit down, take the top bun off and put the sauce on the chicken. And now you have a whole new sandwich!

Chicken Ranch Sandwich

If you’ve eaten at Popeye’s you already know that fans rave about their legendary chicken. This tweak takes it to the next level, especially if you love ranch dressing!

To order: ask or a chicken sandwich and a side of ranch dressing. Drizzle the ranch over the chicken sandwich and voila – the Popeye’s Chicken Ranch Sandwich!

Cinnamon Sugar Biscuit

If you love Popeye’s Biscuits – and who doesn’t! – then you will probably LOVE this hack to turn the biscuits into dessert.

To make this, ask for the cinnamon and sugar seasoning from Popeyes apple pie onto a Popeyes biscuit. And bam…you now will get to experience the incredible cinnamon sugar biscuit!

Sweet & Spicy Red Beans and Rice

If you are a fan of rice and beans and like some spice and sweetness, you are sure to love this menu hack.

To order – ask for a honey packet and hot sauce when you order red beans and rice. We suggest you start out with one packet of each for a perfectly balanced sweet and spicy balance of flavors. Then if you prefer it more sweet, or more spicy, add another packet of honey, or another packet of the hot sauce.

This sounds simple – and it is – but it will surprise you with how much of a flavor improvement this is!

Cajun Sparkle

Cajun Sparkle is Popeyes seasoning that is something extra! Once you try it, it will change how you eat at Popeye’s because it packs a flavor punch and accentuates your food flavors.  Many customers refer to it as a magical or fairy dust. Some have even referred to it as “crack dust” because it is so addictive! Many locations have a stockpile but not every location might not have it so just ask for some when you order your next regular meal.

Gravy Dipping Sauce

If you like Popeyes chicken you probably love the gravy. So try this combination.

To order – order chicken tenders and then ask for a side of gravy.

Cajun Gravy Fries

A few years back some Popeyes locations included a “loaded fries” option on the menu. This item is no longer on the menu, but you can recreate it.
